There exists no freedom and no free press in a regime of silence. The Canadian system of governance actually attempts to silence people who come forward in truth. Once the government assesses the threat, they use all means to suppress the truth, mock the whistle-blowers, try and remove them or criminalize them by charging them or in the media or in the government public forum, then takes contracts with criinal gangs to ultimately silence them.
I have personally experienced this, when I have exposed the illicit acts of the government I have been smeared in the Commons – a place that supposedly represents the safety and protection of Canadian citizens’ rights and democratic freedom. Instead it is used as a forum to discredit and destroy citizens who expose the truth!
The subject of the RCMP investigation of Bernier in May 2008 was not me, but him and those around him who were taking money from Tamils and their sympathizers and on watch lists! Because it was convenient to use me as their target and escape the truth of the real issue of national security breaches – they engaged in a political and professional assassination of my reputation.
Now one of their agents has broken her silence and they have now turned their machine on her. Their attempts to silence her through their various enterprises including the media are reprehensible.
This Conservative government has played the ultimate shell game – just as they have in the past with Brian Mulroney, Airbus, and Schreiber. Having the RCMP and Schreiber as their tools to move money and clean their feet on when things got shakey.

Questionable dealings to buy the Laurentian
A controversial businessman of Lebanese origin, Michael Chamas, benefited from the help of lobbyists close to the Conservative Party to try to acquire the Laurentian Bank, Le Devoir has learned.
Reportedly, Mr. Chamas represented investors UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait keen to expand their operations in Canada, then a springboard to penetrate the lucrative U.S. market.
Because of its small size and rules of good governance of financial institutions in Canada, Laurentian Bank was a prime target for these investors. "My interest in me was having the bank as soon as possible and have a bank here, not only have access to the Canadian market, but also to the U.S. market," said Michael Chamas in an interview with Le Devoir.
The proposed acquisition of the bank was sufficiently advanced, shows a document dated August 2007 from Fidelis Trust, the holding company of Michael Chamas. The financial package included paying $ 1.5 billion to purchase, and the allocation of seats on the board for some of the lobbyists involved. "Their interest was not only to be facilitators for the acquisition of Laurentian Bank, but also to obtain important positions in the bank," says Michael Chamas, an investor who, he says, "every man has a price. "
The project was aborted, however, and Michael Chamas ended up in the net of justice. On 26 March 2008, he was charged with nine offenses for possession of prohibited firearms at his residence in Lorraine. Michael Chamas has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. His trial by judge alone is scheduled for Aug. 22 next to St. Jerome.
A confidential informant
Mr. Chamas was supported in his efforts by an employee who had his full confidence. However, that person turned out to be a confidential informant for the Surete du Quebec (SQ) since 1994, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) since 1995, as unveiled an affidavit filed in court, dated May 2 . The identity of the informant can be disclosed.
According to the affidavit, "lobbyists and policy advisers to the campaign of Mr Harper" have approached this intermediate during the 2005-2006 election campaign. Conservative forces seeking the support of Mr. Chamas, mostly for fundraising and networking within the business community.
In fall 2006, Michael Chamas has increased its contacts with the Conservative lobbyists to give a boost to its proposed acquisition of Laurentian. The informant was presented including David Bernstein, who died last month. It has evolved into the fold of conservative for over 30 years. He was Conservative candidate in Montreal three times in 1974, 1979 and 1980. It would also have played a role in organizing a political constituency of the Montreal area during the 2006 elections.
For unknown reasons, the police informant gave a sworn statement of four pages, alongside the criminal trial of his former boss. He even said he has "placed" weapons at the home of Chamas and his wife, Brigitte Garas, "to ensure that the charges against him are strong and force them to leave Canada." He now full of remorse and bitterness of his cooperation with authorities. "I have since learned that I had been used and manipulated by the system," he writes.
Brigitte Garas, who has three children with Mr. Chamas is the subject of a deportation order. Arrival in September 1996 as a visitor, she has long been slow to make his application for permanent residence. Through the intervention of lobbyists who were associated with her husband, she could receive a temporary residence permit in 1996. Thanks to a letter written by one of the lobbyists for the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration at the time, Monte Solberg, she got her license in less than a week . The argument used by the lobbyist: Ms. Garas "is a friend and supporter of our party." On 8 December, the Federal Court dismissed Ms. Garas in another attempt to obtain permanent residency.
Michael Chamas has obtained his Canadian citizenship in 1995. According to him, he spends most of his time abroad. He claims residency in Dubai, which is why he claims not to have to pay tax in Canada. The tax authorities do not agree. Legal proceedings were initiated against him by the Canada Revenue Agency to enter its property (including a Rolls Royce). A legal mortgage of 1.9 million was incurred on his house to recover some unpaid taxes. Mr. Chamas is also expected 1.5 million in taxes in Quebec.
He is a victim of conspiracy and terrorism government. " His lawyer in the criminal trial, Richard Perras, declined interview requests.
Press Release
May 1, 2011
Sources have revealed to Michael Chamas that the source of the smear campaign against Jack Layton of the NDP in the 11th hour of the elections was Mr. Fantino, former Chief of Police for Toronto. It appears that Mr. Fantino has been promised the position of Public Security Minister in the Harper government for the release of information concerning Mr. Layton’s presence in a Toronto massage parlour in 1996.
Lorraine, Quebec; April 18, 2011 – The Chamas Family has manifested their discouragement and disillusionment with the Canadian government with a bold statement of distress.
The family residence has been under seizure by the Canadian government since July 2006; and the lien by the CRA has increased to $1,800,000 as of March 24, 2011. Mr. Chamas and his family have endured many violations of their human and civil rights and now the final outrage! The wife of Mr. Chamas, Brigitte Garas, a French national whose application for Canadian Permanent Residency has been denied, is facing deportation. The distress reached a new level with the de facto deportation of the children, all 3 ages 15 , 10, and 3, are Canadian citizens.
In this particular case, the government has not given a plausible reason for the their decision. It is peculiar that the same Conservative government had in fact in 2006 given Madame Garas a ministerial permit to stay in the country while her application under Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds was processed. This permit was renewed 2 additional times; then without warning or reason, Madame Garas received a notice that she was being expelled from the country, that the permit was revoked and the permanent residency was denied. The unusual part is that before the application for renewal of the permit was received it was denied; and that this decision was taken at the Ottawa level and not the usual processing center; and at the same time the permanent residency was also denied.
Madame Garas had to surrender her French passport, in 2009, and basically has been a “hostage” here; if she left she could not return; and her lawyers began the process of appealing all the decisions, with no success.
Meanwhile, Madame Garas has continued to raise her children and be an active part of her community. Madame Garas ran in her first marathon last fall, and has been active in her children’s schools and has continued her integration into Quebec and Canadian societies. Now her children face an unimaginable choice the government has placed upon them….their Canadian citizenship, Education, their friends and way of life…..or life with their mother in exile from their country.

Subject: one last thing....
Mr. Chamas,
Thanks for getting back to me.....I was travelling and only got your reply late last night after I exited a plane.
I forgot to ask one last question: Did they slap new tax liens on your other properties, too? Where are those located?
Lastly, if you ever feel like talking about any dealings you had with Bernier, his staff and other Tories,
I would love to hear it.....Good time to raise issues during an election campaign.
BY the way, I helped write a book about crime, corruption and greed in the Conservative government led by Brian MUlroney.

*Pension fund scandal
In 2004, Andrew McIntosh, an investigative journalist at The National Post, revealed a secret audit that detailed misuse of millions of dollars by the RCMP of its own members' pension fund. He also revealed that several people had been forced from their jobs because of the scandal, but that there had not been a proper probe into the irregularities. The same day his story was published, Commissioner Zaccardelli announced the force would pay back to the pension fund the millions misused and he called for a police probe by Ottawa Police Force, though Zaccardelli somehow managed to maintain control over the probe and nobody was subsequently charged.
After Zaccardelli's resignation in 2007, a public accounts committee heard several testimonies from former and serving RCMP officers alleging serious fraud and nepotism at the upper management level under Zaccardelli. The fraud allegations go back to 2002 and are related to RCMP pension and insurance plans for members of the force. Zaccardelli launched and then two days later cancelled a criminal investigation into the matter, which was resumed by the Ottawa Police Service after his resignation. That investigation found serious nepotism and wasteful spending. A follow-up investigation by the Auditor-General found millions of dollars inappropriately charged to the pension and insurance plans.
A subsequent investigation conducted by a former head of the Ontario Securities Commission strongly criticized the management style of Zaccardelli, which he said was responsible for "a fundamental breach of trust" and called for a major shake-up of the force. Specifically, RCMP members and employees who attempted to address the pension fund issue suffered "career damage" for doing so, according to the investigators findings. Interim RCMP Commissioner Beverley Busson concurred with the recommendations and promised that individuals who the upper ranks attempted to silence would be thanked and recognized.

Objet : Re: Questions and a request for comment
Absolutely, on my tax matters, my original objections to the assessments and the new ones, has never been adjudicated. We are entitled as Canadians to defend ourselves and to be treated equally and justly under the law. Which has never been the case for us.
As for the gun charges, we are waiting trial in August 2011; where I exercise my rights to a fully defense and the truth will come out about the government's unified campaign against me. If you look at the case of Caroline Dare, the government has done exactly the same, stripped her of access to her family's wealth of the Dare company and precluded her from being able to keep her lawyers to defend her against the egregious actions of the CRA.
Thank you for your comments and questions.
Regards,
Michael Chamas

So you continue to declare your innocence and allege abuse and defamation by goverment authorities?
Also what is the status of the possession of illegal weapons charges against you?

Good afternoon Mr McIntosh,
Thank you for your interest. As you are aware the international signal for distress is flying the flag upside down.
My family is in distress, which has culminated in my wife being deported in June 2011. My children, all Canadian citizens are de facto being deported as well. No children should ever have a government decide their future for them, and to force them to make a decision no child should ever be faced with; their parent or their way of life and education.
It is unconscionable that a government who appears concerned about their citizens abroad in areas of conflict to get them out by sending military airlift; is in a paradoxical manner removing citizens, who are children, from their own country.
The government has stripped my family of all its assets on March 24th, 2011; taking the children's computers for school, the musical instruments, all the valuables from the house were seized on that day.
This is not the first time the government shows up on our family's doorstep to invade our privacy, take from us, deprive us of peace, and to intimidate the family by coming during the night with their agents.
The government has continued to increase the pressure since 2006 upon me and my family through their various agencies, including CRA with the increased lien on the residence.
My new website will be available early next week for the media and public to read the full details, including the feedback I have received from neighbors, the city, and colleagues.
Thank you once again for your interest and contact me at your convenience.
Regards,
Michael Chamas
